All of our instructors are college grads, have a tremendous amount of experience, have helped hundreds of kids get scholarships and most importantly are great people. Each one of us is dedicated to the art of coaching and making your kids better people on and off the field.
I had an amazing life traveling the world and competing in the sport I loved. I grew up in Roseville Ca and attended Oakmont High School where I am a recent Hall of Fame Inductee. After Oakmont I went on to play at Sac City College where I was also inducted into the Hall of Fame. I then signed a full ride to UCLA where I won a National Championship with the Bruins and became an All American. I turned pro after college and played with Team USA.
Following my fun and adventurous career I began teaching kids of all ages and soon discovered my passion was coaching and making an impact in kids lives. I love my job and I love the art of Hitting and am grateful to be able to share my experiences and love of the game with hundreds of kids. Welcome to Lyndsey Klein Softball.
Colleen Marchi has been with us for over 7 years as our pitching coach. Colleen grew up in Sonoma, Ca and played high school softball for Justin Siena. She was given a scholarship to pitch for the University of San Diego. She was the starting pitcher all four years for the Toreros and held a strike out record at USD for over 13 years. While enjoying her time at USD she began to coach at camps and private lessons. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went to New York City for graduate school. While attending John Jay College in Manhattan, Colleen became the head women’s volleyball coach and the pitching coach for the softball program. In her first year on the coaching staff she was awarded the coach of the year for the entire conference. She continued to give private lessons while obtaining her master’s degree in psychology. Life brought Colleen back home to Northern California where she continued her private lessons, clinics and became the pitching coach for Bear River High School. She loves to teach pitching and loves to work with girls and their families who live to pitch.
Amanda grew up in Roseville, CA and attended Woodcreek High School where she led her school in pitching and hitting to win the Section Title in 2012. After high school, Amanda attended Cosumnes River College where she received numerous awards including Athlete of the Year while leading her team to the State Championship. After CRC, Amanda continued her softball career and transferred to California State University San Marcos on a full-ride scholarship. While there she believed in working hard not only on the field, but in the classroom, where she received Suma Cum Laude Honors upon graduation. Amanda’s love for the game continued and led to her career in coaching. She became the Assistant Coach for California State University San Marcos, while pursuing her Degree in Education. Although she no longer coaches on the field she helps train kids to prepare them for a successful future. With the knowledge and success she had learned from the game as a player, and and as a coach, she wants to help others by teaching them the skills necessary to be successful at the collegiate level both on and off the field.
